The Story Behind “HERE COMES THE D10S”
Nothing in the world shone quite like Diego when he was at his brightest. To some Argentinians, not even the sun.
At vintageKeeper., we understand why.
They called him D10S. A little bit of Diego, a little bit of Dios — God himself.
The sun on Argentina’s flag is a symbol of the nation. When Diego played, he brought a brilliance of his own, lighting up the game in a way few ever could.
When Diego passed, the world lost a little of that light.
While working on this series, George Harrison’s Here Comes the Sun caught my attention. Its message of light returning after darkness struck a chord. That inspiration became a sun bearing the name D10S.
And then the words came together:
Here comes the D10S, doo-doo-doo-doo.
A familiar melody, reimagined for a football legend whose light continues to shine.
Because perhaps Diego’s story is not finished.
Some legends never fade. They rise again.
